Крионика
Крионика (англиски: Cryonics) е назив за процес на зачувување на човечко тело при ниска температура, кое поинаку не може да се одржи со помош на современата медицина. Идејата за овој процес е во иднина да се зачувува и да се реанимира човекот на кој му е замрзнато телото.[1][2]. Во некои научни литератури постојат прилози за хипотетичка изведливост на криониката. Крионика ја поддржуваат 63 научници вклучувајќи ги и Марвин Мински и Аубреј де Греј. Меѓутоа, многу други научници се скептични по прашањето за крионика. Во САД, крионика на луѓе може да се извршува само легално. Мистеријата која се врзува за крионика е дали после замрзнување на човекот, тој може повторно да се врати во живот[3][4][5][6].
Научната заедница на криониката гледа со скептицизам, поради штетата предизвикана од студот на клетките, и покрај криопротекторите. Во 2018 година беше развиен нов процес, витрификсација, но му недостигаше зачувување на прагот на ексцитабилност на синапсите. Затоа, во 2023 година, итноста е да се насочат истражувањата кон зачувување на прагот на ексцитабилност на синапсите за време на витрификсација[7][8][9][10][11][12][13][14][15][16].

Cryonics, which began in the Sixties, is the freezing - usually in liquid nitrogen - of human beings who have been legally declared dead.
