Rubincho Risteski is a Macedonian para table tennis player, coach, and sports official, actively involved in the development and promotion of sport for persons with disabilities in North Macedonia. He is a long-time member of the national para table tennis team and a prominent figure in disability sport administration.
Early life and education
Rubincho Risteski was born in Prilep 19 june 1980, North Macedonia. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Sports Coaching for Persons with Disabilities from the Faculty of Physical Education, Sport and Health at the Ss. Cyril and Methodius University in Skopje, graduating with a grade point average of 9.09. He later completed a Master’s degree in Kinesiology with a perfect grade point average of 10.00.
Since 2018, Risteski has been employed by the local government of the Municipality of Prilep, and since 2021 he has held a permanent position.
Sports career
Risteski is a long-standing member of the North Macedonian national para table tennis team. During his career, he has competed in numerous national and international tournaments and has won multiple medals in international competitions.
At the local level, he has been awarded the title Best Athlete with a Disability of the Municipality of Prilep on eight occasions, recognizing his sporting achievements and contribution to para sport.
Coaching and organizational work
In addition to his competitive career, Risteski has been actively involved in sports organization and management. In 2004, he became president of the Sports and Recreation Club of Persons with Disabilities in Prilep. In 2014, he founded the Para Table Tennis Club “Poliosport” Prilep, where he serves as president.
Through his work, he has contributed to the development of para table tennis and the inclusion of persons with disabilities in organized sport.
Public and administrative roles
Risteski is a member of the Executive Board of the National Federation for Sport and Recreation of Persons with Disabilities / Paralympic Committee of North Macedonia. For the 2025–2026 term, he serves as President of the National Council of Disability Organizations.
Personal life
Rubincho Risteski is married with Tajna and has two sons, Petar and Martin. He is actively involved in supporting the sporting development of his children.
