Телема

Телема е филозофија на живеењето која се заснова врз правилото или законот „Прави што ти е волја“. Идеалот поврзан со „Прави што ти е волја“ и со зборот Телема е на Рабле, но целосно е развиен од страна на Алистер Кроули кој врз овој идеал основал религија наречена Телема. Самиот збор потекнува од јазикот коине, со значење „волја“. Раните христијански писатели го користеле овој збор за да ја означат волјата на Бога, волјата на човекот, а понекогаш и волјата на противникот на Господ - ѓаволот.

Во 16 век, Франсоа Рабле го употребил зборот Телема како име за измислената опатија во неговата позната книга Гаргантуа и Пантагруел Единственото правило во таа опатија било „Прави што ти е волја“. Ова правило било запишано на вратата од една опатија во Медменхем, Англија, во вистинскиот живот кон средината на 18 век.

Истото правило било употребено во 1904 година од страна на Алистер Кроули во неговата Книга на Законот. Терминот Телема Кроули го зел како име на философскиот, мистичниот и религиозниот систем кој самиот тој го развил. Овој систем содржи идеи од окултизмот, јога, од западниот и источниот мистицизам, и посебно од Кабала.
